#VolantinaScarf by Tanja Steinbach
The #VolantinaScarf is knitted sideways.
It begins with a narrow ruffle. Then the row start is shifted approximately to the center: A portion of the stitches is slipped unworked onto the opposite needle tip, so the tips meet in the middle of the row. This allows short rows to be worked at the center of the scarf.
In the following rows, additional stitches are gradually knitted in garter stitch on both sides, incorporating the cast-on stitches step by step. Once all cast-on stitches have been worked, the scarf is bound off with an i-cord edge.
