The #SneakerSweater by sinchens_knitwear is knitted seamlessly from the top down as a top-down design. First cast on stitches for the back neckline and work the shoulder slants in short rows. Then knit straight down over all stitches until the height of the armholes is reached. Then the stitches are set aside and stitches are cast on one after the other for the shoulders of the right and left front piece halves from the cast-on edge of the back piece. Both front halves are also worked with short rows for the shoulder slants and with increases for the front neckline. Below the front neckline, the right and left front halves are joined together by casting on a few new stitches in the middle between the pieces. Then knit back and forth across all stitches of the front piece until the armhole height is reached. The stitches from the front and back pieces are then cast onto the needle together, joined in the round and knitted in rounds to the desired length of the body and finished with a ribbed edge. For the sleeves, stitches are knitted out of the armholes all the way around and worked in the round with decreases for the sleeve bias. The sleeves are also finished with a cuff in the cuff pattern. Finally, stitches are knitted all around
from the neckline to knit the cuff in the cuff pattern in rounds.
