Description

The airy ROMINA TOP by Tanja Steinbach is knitted seamlessly from the top down. First cast on stitches for the back and knit back and forth over the entire height of the armholes. Increases are made on both sides for the armhole round. After the stitches for the back have been cast off under the armpits, both halves of the front are knitted one after the other in back and forth rows. To do this, the stitches for the shoulder strap are knitted from the cast-on edge of the back piece, after a short piece that is worked straight down, the increases for the V-neck are begun and later the increases for the armhole round are added. All 3 pieces are then joined under the armpits, the V-neck is closed and the body is worked in the round. For the A-shape
increases are made on both sides of the side lines. For the slits, the front and back pieces are again worked separately in back and forth rows. The slit facings are knitted on in a small pearl pattern, as are the sleeve and V-neck facings.
