Description
The #GenèveJacket by sinchens_knitwear is knitted from the top down in one piece. First, stitches are cast on for the neckband. After the neckband, the neckline is shaped on both front pieces in short rows and worked with the thinner needle to give the transition to the shoulder a good hold. Then the increase rounds are knitted alternately with rounds without increases for the round yoke. Once the yoke has been completed, the stitches for the sleeves are set aside. The stitches from the front and back pieces are joined into one piece, with a few new stitches cast on under the armpits between the pieces. Knit back and forth over all stitches to the desired length of the body and finish with a ribbed edge. For the sleeves, the stitches cast off are joined with new stitches cast on from the underarm stitches between the front and back sections and knitted over all stitches in rounds with decreases for the sleeve bias. The sleeves are also finished with a cuff in the cuff pattern. Next, stitches are knitted out of the knitted edges of the front pieces to knit on the closure panels in back and forth rows.
