Description

#CasShirt by sinchens_knitwear

The #CasShirt is knitted seamlessly in the round from top to bottom.

Work begins at the left shoulder with the left front. After casting on, ribbing is worked. The shoulder slope is first shaped with short rows on one side.

Next, work continues straight along the armhole edge, while increases are worked along the V-neck edge. The neckline band forms automatically, as the increases are placed seven stitches from the edge.

Once the desired neckline depth is reached, the stitches are put on hold. Stitches are then picked up from the shoulder cast-on to knit the left back, mirrored. This section is also worked to the same neckline depth and then put on hold.

This completes the left front and back up to the center of the neckline.

The right front and back are worked following the same principle but rotated 180°, before all pieces are joined. The left front of the second part becomes the right back and vice versa.

For the two largest sizes, the front and back sections are joined separately first to add extra rows for a deeper armhole.

Afterwards, all stitches are joined on one circular needle, and the body is worked in the round.

About 4 cm before the desired length, switch to a smaller circular needle. The bottom hem is worked in ribbing and bound off using a sewn bind-off.
